WHAT IS BIODYNAMIC
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a uniquely simple, yet profound and effective approach to wholistic health and wellbeing. Using a gentle touch, the practitioner listens from a place of embodied neutrality and presence to the subtle rhythms of the body. This awareness naturally supports the body to align and focus on its inherent health states and is well known for allowing a deep relaxation whilst the client is on the treatment table.
From this deep state of settling (or stillness) it can enable many beneficial responses. Some common responses include releasing tensions in connective tissue patterns, easing headaches, soothing the nervous system, release and integration of past trauma, supporting the realigning of structural issues, as well as emotional comfort with enhanced feelings of ease, energetic and even joyful states.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Julie Lacey
I first became fascinated in Craniosacral work living in London in the late 90’s. My neighbour was a cranial osteopath and seemed to be working mainly with stillness. I was treating clients in Reflexology and Shiatsu at the time and was noticing that when I was just settling and listening to my clients, it was resourcing in a way that I couldn’t quite grasp at the time. To find a modality based around that was very interesting to me and thus my journey began.
I moved to New Zealand in 2002 and began my training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. My clinic is now based in Nelson, New Zealand.

Nia Dance
A whole-body, mindful workout with the bonus of connecting to and with others.
Nia Dancing with Julie
An energetic, fun, fusion that incorporates a unique blend of modern dance, martial arts and mindfulness in a workout set to music. Nia Dance conditions and strengthens the body, while helping to transform the mind. It is wonderful, holistic fitness practice that can be enjoyed by all.
I like to encourage dancers to feel ease and comfort in the routines which draw on different rhythms and tempos to move in their way and bring their own unique expression to the dance!
I look forward to welcoming you to a class!
